The LanPro LP-OC54010124ZC Mini Armadillo Series Fiber Optic Cable is a heavy-duty, light-armored outside plant (OSP) optical transmission cable engineered for interbuilding campus backbones, metropolitan loop distribution, direct burial, underground duct/conduit installations, and lashed aerial deployments. Equipped with 12 full-spectrum, low-water-peak singlemode optical fibers (ITU-T G.652.D compliant), this cable eliminates attenuation across the critical E-band water-absorption peak (1360 nm to 1460 nm), unlocking the entire wavelength window from 1260 nm to 1625 nm for high-capacity CWDM/DWDM transmission and 10G/40G/100G enterprise networks.

Engineered with a central PBT loose-tube structure filled with thixotropic water-blocking gel, the LP-OC54010124ZC isolates the optical fibers from mechanical stress, vibration, and moisture ingress. Its protective armor consists of a longitudinally applied corrugated steel tape (CST) that provides rodent resistance, termite deterrence, and crush resistance up to 2200 N / 10 cm. Two embedded parallel steel strength member wires provide longitudinal tensile stability (withstanding short-term pull loads up to 2000 N), while an outer high-density polyethylene (HDPE) black jacket shields the core against ultraviolet (UV) radiation, environmental moisture, soil chemicals, and industrial oils. Dual ripcords allow field technicians to strip the armored sheath easily during splice-tray and enclosure terminations.
