- Description
Product Overview
The Ajax GlassProtect is a compact wireless acoustic glass break detector designed to protect windows, glass storefronts, and glazed partitions up to a distance of 9 meters (29.5 ft). Utilizing a sensitive electret microphone paired with the proprietary DualTone two-step sound analysis algorithm, it filters out environmental acoustic interference—such as thunder, street traffic, and dog barks—by requiring both the low-frequency mechanical thud of an impact and the high-frequency acoustic shatter of breaking glass to trigger an alarm.
Operating over the proprietary Jeweller wireless radio protocol across open-space distances up to 1,000 meters, GlassProtect delivers immediate intrusion alerts in under 0.15 seconds. Equipped with an external wired contact input (NC) for connecting third-party sensors, Grade 2 anti-tamper security, and a pre-installed CR123A battery delivering up to 7 years of autonomous operation, it ensures discreet perimeter glass protection in a matte black finish.
Key System Features & Functionality
-
DualTone Two-Factor Verification: Analyzes both the low-frequency impact wave and the high-frequency glass shattering sound to eliminate false alarms.
-
9 m Acoustic Detection Range: Wide 180° microphone pickup angle covers multiple windows and glazed surfaces up to 9 meters (29.5 ft) away.
-
Jeweller Wireless Technology: Two-way encrypted radio communication operating across distances up to 1,000 meters (3,300 ft) open-space range with anti-jamming frequency hopping.
-
External NC Contact Input: Onboard terminal interface allows hardwired integration of third-party magnetic contacts or wired sensors.
-
Up to 7 Years Battery Life: Powered by a pre-installed CR123A lithium battery with advanced energy management algorithms.
-
Discreet SmartBracket Mounting: Compact cylindrical profile mounts quickly onto walls or ceilings near glass openings without opening the detector body.
