The Ajax MotionProtect  is a wireless passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor designed to detect human intrusion while ignoring pets and false thermal disturbances. Powered by the proprietary SmartDetect software algorithm and a high-precision optical Fresnel lens, it accurately analyzes thermal radiation patterns to distinguish genuine human movement up to 12 meters (39.4 ft) across an 88.5° field of view, while ignoring pets weighing up to 20 kg (44 lb) and measuring under 50 cm ($19.7'') in height.

Operating via the proprietary Jeweller wireless radio protocol across distances up to 1,700 meters in open space, MotionProtect transmits alarm notifications in less than 0.15 seconds. Equipped with automatic temperature compensation to maintain detection accuracy in high ambient temperatures, Grade 2 anti-tamper security, and a pre-installed CR123A battery delivering up to 5 years of autonomous operation, it provides robust indoor intrusion protection in a clean white casing.
