The Paradox CVT485-P2C (CVT485) is an official plug-in communication converter module designed to extend the wired serial connection distance between Paradox control panels (EVO, Magellan, Spectra) and Paradox PCS Series Cellular Communicators (such as PCS250, PCS250G, or PCS265V7). By converting the standard serial connection to an RS485 data bus, it allows the cellular communicator module to be installed up to 300 meters (1,000 feet) away from the main control panel enclosure to optimize cellular signal reception in areas with thick walls, basements, or signal dead zones.
