The Paradox ZX8SP-P2C (ZX8SP) is an official 8-zone hardwired expansion module designed to add up to 8 additional hardwired input zones to Paradox control panels (Magellan MG5050 / MG5075, Spectra SP Series, and EVO Series). By connecting directly to the panel’s 4-wire combus/serial bus, it allows installers to easily expand system capacity without replacing the main alarm panel or adding unnecessary wiring complexity. Compact and versatile, it supports various zone configurations, tamper inputs, and low-power operations.

Key System Features & Functionality

• 8 Hardwired Zone Expansion: Adds 8 fully programmable hardwired detection zones (NC/NO with or without Single/Double End-of-Line EOL resistors) to the host panel.

• Universal Paradox Panel Compatibility: Integrates seamlessly with Paradox Magellan (MG5000, MG5050, MG5075), Spectra SP (SP4000, SP5500, SP6000, SP7000), and EVO Series control panels.

• Zone Speed Configuration: Supports flexible zone response speed settings (from 15 ms for quick-trigger sensors up to 255 ms for standard motion detectors).

• Dedicated Onboard Tamper Input: Includes a dedicated tamper terminal to monitor panel enclosure or remote cabinet opening.

• Simple 4-Wire Combus Connectivity: Powered and monitored directly via the host panel's 4-wire serial communication bus (RED, BLK, GRN, YEL).

• Compact PCB Footprint: Small form factor engineered to fit easily inside standard Paradox metal enclosures (11" x 11" x 3") or plastic mounting boxes.
