Designed to function without requiring a neutral wire, it allows users to control the same light fixture or lighting circuit from two or more distinct wall locations (such as staircases, long hallways, corridors, or bedrooms).

Operating over the proprietary Jeweller wireless radio protocol across distances up to 1,100 meters in open space, LightCore 3-way supports lighting loads from 5 W up to 600 W. It pairs modularly with interchangeable touch panels (SoloButton / Button) and frames, delivering contactless touch actuation, subtle LED night backlighting, multi-way synchronization, automated scenarios (schedules, arming triggers, or motion-activated illumination), and built-in thermal protection in a compact in-wall mechanism.

Key System Features & Functionality

Multi-Way (3-Way) Circuit Control: Enables synchronized lighting control from two or more switch locations across rooms, corridors, and multi-story staircases.

No Neutral Wire Required: Operates over standard 120 VAC two-wire lighting runs without requiring a dedicated neutral conductor in the junction box.

Modular Assembly Architecture: Combines seamlessly with Ajax SoloButton, CenterButton, or SideButton touch front panels and decorative multi-gang frames.

Broad Lighting Load Support: Controls circuits and light fixtures from 5 W up to 600 W (compatible with incandescent, halogen, LED, and CFL lamps).

Jeweller Wireless Technology: Two-way encrypted radio communication operating across distances up to 1,100 meters (3,600 ft) line-of-sight with anti-jamming frequency hopping.

Smart Automation Scenarios: Integrates with Ajax intrusion alarms, motion sensors, arming states, and schedules to automate lighting actions.

Thermal & Overcurrent Protection: Built-in hardware protection against overheating (> +60°C) and electrical load surges.

https://shop.gvs-usa.com/products/ajax-lightcore-2-way-3-way-120-jeweller-smart-multi-way-light-switch-core-9na
