- Description
The Paradox 460-P2C (Paragon 460) is an official hardwired curtain/vertical view passive infrared (PIR) motion detector designed to protect narrow perimeter zones, display windows, balcony glass doors, and corridor walls. Engineered with a specialized vertical curtain optical pattern, it creates a narrow protective "barrier" of up to 6 m x 2.1 m (20 ft} x 7 ft) at 40°. This allows people to move freely inside the room while triggering an alarm the moment an intruder crosses through the vertical curtain plane.
Key System Features & Functionality
-
Narrow Curtain Coverage Pattern: Generates a precise 40° vertical detection curtain measuring 6 m x 2.1 m (20 ft x 7 ft) to secure glass doors and display windows.
-
Dual-Element Pyroelectric Sensor: High-sensitivity dual-element PIR sensor detects directional movement through the narrow vertical boundary.
-
Auto Pulse Signal Processing (APSP): Filters out optical noise, thermal fluctuations, and environmental air movement to maintain high false-alarm immunity.
-
Automatic Temperature Compensation: Adjusts detector sensitivity in real time as ambient room temperatures approach human body heat.
-
Solid-State Alarm Output: Equipped with a silent, long-life solid-state NC relay output and an onboard cover anti-tamper switch.
