The Ajax MotionProtect Plus  is a high-security wireless dual-technology motion detector combining a passive infrared (PIR) optical sensor with a 24 GHz K-band microwave radar sensor. Engineered for complex indoor environments with active thermal disturbances—such as rooms with operating air conditioners, fireplaces, large sunlit windows, or air heating flows—it eliminates false alarms by requiring simultaneous thermal and radio-frequency Doppler motion verification before triggering an alarm.

Powered by the proprietary SmartDetect software algorithm, MotionProtect Plus accurately identifies human movement up to 12 meters (39.4 ft) across an 88.5° field of view while ignoring pets weighing up to 20 kg (44 lb) and measuring under 50 cm (19.7'') in height. Communicating via the encrypted Jeweller wireless radio protocol over open-space distances up to 1,200 meters, it features automatic temperature compensation, Grade 2 anti-tamper security, and a pre-installed CR123A battery delivering up to 5 years of autonomous operation in a sleek white housing.
