- Description
The Paradox DG457-P2C (DG457 / GlassTreker) is an official addressable digital glassbreak detector engineered specifically for Paradox Digiplex EVO control panels via a direct 4-wire EVO Multibus connection. Designed to protect perimeter windows and glass surfaces without relying on physical vibrations, it uses full audio spectrum analysis to detect the precise acoustic signatures of breaking glass. It provides up to 9 m (30 ft) of 360° coverage from a single detector location.
Key System Features & Functionality
-
Direct EVO Bus Connectivity: Connects directly to the 4-wire Paradox EVO Multibus for addressable zone programming, diagnostic monitoring, and remote software configuration via BabyWare.
-
Full Audio & Infrasonic Spectrum Analysis: Evaluates both sub-audible pressure waves (thump) and high-frequency glass shattering sounds to eliminate acoustic false alarms.
-
Multi-Glass Type Detection: Protects plate, tempered, laminated, wired, and sealed insulated glass configurations.
-
360° Acoustic Coverage: Provides a 9 m (30 ft) detection radius when mounted on walls or ceilings facing protected glass windows.
-
Selectable Sensitivity Levels: Features adjustable high and low sensitivity settings to suit room size and reverberation characteristics.
-
Onboard Cover & Wall Tamper: Built-in anti-tamper switch instantly reports unauthorized opening or removal of the detector housing to the control panel.
