The TRANS16V40 (also referenced as PS-AC1640) is a heavy-duty 16.5 VAC 40 VA plug-in AC transformer designed to power wired security alarm control panels, access control systems, video doorbells, and HVAC equipment. Delivering up to 2.4A continuous alternating current, it provides clean, uninterrupted AC power required for panel motherboards, auxiliary sensors, and backup battery charging circuits.

Housed in an aesthetically clean, white flame-retardant ABS casing with integrated terminal screw connections and a grounding pin, the TRANS16V40 mounts directly to standard wall outlets. Built-in thermal fuse protection shields connected security alarm panels from electrical overloads and short circuits.
