The Ajax Button Jeweller is a compact wireless smart button designed for fast alarm activation, automation control and emergency response inside an Ajax security system. With a discreet black design, secure Jeweller radio communication and accidental-press protection, this device is ideal for residential, commercial and professional security applications where users need instant control from a single button.

In Panic mode, the Button can immediately send an alarm to system users and, when configured, to the security company’s central monitoring station. Depending on the selected event type, it can be used for intrusion, fire, medical help, panic alarm, gas alarm, malfunction, leakage or a custom event. This allows the system to communicate the right type of emergency instead of sending a generic alert.

In Control mode, the Button becomes a smart automation trigger for Ajax relays, smart sockets and compatible automation devices. A short or long press can be configured to activate one or several actions, such as turning lights on or off, controlling appliances, triggering scenarios or managing other connected devices inside the Ajax ecosystem.

The device also supports a Mute Fire Alarm mode, allowing users or installers to configure it for silencing interconnected fire detector alarms when supported by the system configuration. Its operating mode can be adjusted remotely by a PRO or a user with admin rights through Ajax mobile or desktop apps.

Built for reliability, the Ajax Button Jeweller communicates with the hub or range extender through the encrypted Jeweller radio protocol. The maximum radio communication range reaches up to 1,300 meters in open space, depending on the installation environment, obstacles and regional radio conditions. The protocol includes device authentication to help protect the system against spoofing.

To reduce false alarms, the Button includes accidental-press protection that can be configured as a double press or a long press. Its recessed button design and software logic make it suitable for carrying in a pocket, wearing on a necklace or wrist strap, attaching to a key ring or mounting discreetly under a desk, near a bed, at a reception counter or in a security post.

The compact enclosure is rated IP55, offering protection against dust and splashes. It is powered by a pre-installed CR2032 battery, and the package includes the Button, the battery, double-sided tape and a quick start guide.
