- Description
The Paradox 525DM-P2C is a commercial-grade, high-security dual-technology motion detector combining Passive Infrared (PIR) and Microwave (MW) detection algorithms. Engineered for challenging environments prone to rapid temperature fluctuations and draft-induced interferences, the 525DM-P2C eliminates false alarms by requiring both PIR thermal imaging and 10.525 GHz microwave Doppler radar to confirm intrusion before triggering an alarm output.
Featuring Paradox's proprietary Dynamic Proximity Anti-Masking technology, this detector identifies close-range movement and masking attempts (less than 0.75m / 2.5ft) directly in front of the lens. Built with Auto-Pulse Signal Processing (APSP) and automatic digital temperature compensation, the 525DM-P2C adjusts sensitivity dynamically to maintain consistent 12m x 12m (40ft x 40ft) broad-coverage detection across residential, commercial, and industrial facilities.
Key System Features & Functionality
-
Dual-Technology Detection (PIR + MW): Combines digital passive infrared and 10.525 GHz microwave radar to ensure high false alarm rejection in volatile environments.
-
Dynamic Proximity Anti-Masking: Detects close-range intrusion attempts or deliberate physical obstructions within 0.75 m (2.5 ft) of the detector lens.
-
Adjustable Microwave Range: Integrated potentiometer allows fine-tuning of microwave coverage to prevent false triggers through thin partition walls or windows.
-
Installer Test Mode: Allows technicians to test microwave and infrared detection channels independently during system installation and walk-testing.
-
Auto Pulse Signal Processing (APSP): Two digital pulse settings (Normal Shield and High Shield) adapt response thresholds for severe electrical or thermal interferences.
-
Multi-LED Diagnostics: Color-coded LED visual indicators provide instant status feedback for PIR detection, MW detection, alarm trigger, and lens masking alerts
