Product Overview
The R5-2H is a commercial and residential digital electronic rim lock (cerradura de sobreponer) manufactured under the GVS Security access hardware catalog. Purpose-built for exterior metal gates, perimeter iron doors, wooden main doors, and security enclosures, this surface-mount lock modernizes perimeter access where mortise installations or deep door cutting are not practical. Enclosed in a heavy-duty die-cast aluminum alloy body finished in Matte Black, it provides high physical resistance against forced entry and daily environmental exposure.
Engineered with multi-credential authentication, the R5-2H supports keyless entry via an illuminated touch numeric keypad (PIN code), high-frequency 13.56 MHz Mifare (MF) RFID smart cards/fobs, and a concealed mechanical key cylinder for emergency physical override (keys included). The digital controller features anti-peep virtual passcode technology, automatic deadbolt locking upon closure, low-battery alerts, and an exterior emergency USB power jump-start port. Powered by standard 6V DC alkaline batteries with optional 12V DC input support, the R5-2H delivers dependable standalone perimeter security for homes, commercial offices, and multi-tenant communities.
