The DVR-58S1-4KSM (XVR5108HS-4KL-I3) is an ultra-high-definition 8-channel WizSense 1U compact pentabrid digital video recorder engineered for demanding commercial, industrial, and high-end residential video surveillance systems. Built on a flexible 5-in-1 hybrid architecture, it auto-detects all major video standards: HDCVI, AHD, HDTVI, analog CVBS, and IP network cameras. The system natively accommodates 8 analog BNC channels plus 4 IP channels (expandable up to 16 IP channels by converting analog ports), handling camera resolutions up to 4K (8 Megapixels) with an incoming network bandwidth of 128 Mbps.

Equipped with dedicated WizSense deep-learning processors, this recorder features full-channel SMD Plus (Smart Motion Detection Plus) across all 8 analog channels, accurately classifying human and vehicle targets while eliminating false alarms from foliage, heavy rain, and animals. It supports advanced Perimeter Protection (up to 2 analog channels of Tripwire and Intrusion) and up to 2-channel Real-Time Facial Recognition / Detection (with support for 10 face databases and 20,000 face images). Featuring AI Coding and Smart H.265+ compression, it slashes storage overhead and transmission bitrates by over 50% without compromising evidentiary target detail. Hardware interfaces include 1 SATA HDD bay (supporting up to 16 TB), a native 4K HDMI output (3840 × 2160) alongside a VGA port, 1 RCA Audio Input / 1 RCA Audio Output with broadcast-quality Audio-over-Coax (AoC) support, and an RS485 telemetry port for PTZ dome control.
